6月25日是全国土地日。1991年5月24日，国务院第83次常务会议决定，从1991年起，将每年的6月25日，即《中华人民共和国土地管理法》颁布日，定为全国土地日。1991年的6月25日是第一个全国土地日，主题是“土地与国情”。“土地日”是国务院确定的第一个全国纪念宣传日。中国是世界上第一个为保护土地而设立专门纪念日的国家。
