Having read the report about accidents happened in China I instantly think of the accident which occurred to me ten years ago. Like other naughty boys I like doing sports especially swimming. It happened to be a summer hot noon. I went out to swim with my neighbor without parents’ permission. Happy as we were we even tried having a competition to see who could swim the fastest and farthest. In order to show my ability of swimming I spared no effort to swim. Not until the middle of the river did I realize that I have no other strength left and my body was sinking into the deep of the water. Fortunately with the help of my friends I had a narrow escape. What an unforgettable experience! It is my showing off that causes the unnecessary accident.

This case is only one among several hundreds terrible accidents that take place around us every day. It is high time that we be aware of the importance of personal safety. And only with a good sense of personal safety can we live a safe and happy life!
