Spherical inflorescences usually have two clusters, which resemble hanging bells. Flowers are about 4 mm long, male flowers have 4-8 stamens and female flowers have 6 segregated carpels. When spring comes, we will see a lot of wool fall from the tree, that is the fruit of the sycamore tree.

梧桐树是落叶乔木，高可达35米。我家两旁的街道就有一排排的梧桐树，它们枝条开展，树冠广阔，树干粗壮。树叶很大，也可以夹进书里做书签，形状呈基部截形或近心形，球形花序通常2个一串，形状似悬挂着的铃。花长约4毫米，雄花有4—8个雄蕊，雌花有6个分离心皮。当春天来临时，我们会看见许多毛絮絮从树上落下来，那就是梧桐树结的果子了。
