　　Mid Autumn Festival - the Tang Dynasty Poems

　　1.李白：关山月

　　1: it is

　　明月出天山，苍茫云海间。

　　The bright moon lifts from the mountain of heaven in an infinite haze of cloud and sea,

　　长风几万里，吹度玉门关。

　　Changfeng tens of thousands of years, blow of Yumen Pass.

　　汉下白登道，胡窥青海湾。

　　China marches its men down Baideng road while tartar troops peer across blue waters of the bay.

　　由来征战地，不见有人还。

　　And since not one battle famous in history sent all its fighters back again,

　　戍客望边色，思归多苦颜。

　　The soldiers turn round, looking toward the border, and think of home, with wistful eyes,

　　2.李白：月下独酌

　　2 Li Bai: drinking alone with the moon

　　花间一壶酒，独酌无相亲。

　　From a pot of wine among the flowers I drank alone. There was no one with me.

　　举杯邀明月，对影成三人。

　　Till, raising my cup , I asked the bright moon to bring me my shadow and make us three.

　　月既不解饮，影徒随我身。

　　Alas, the moon was unable to drink and my shadow tagged me vacantly;

　　暂伴月将影，行乐须及春。

　　But still for a while I had these friends to cheer me through the end of spring.

　　我歌月徘徊，我舞影零乱。

　　I sang. The moon encouraged me. I danced. My shadow tumbled after.

　　醒时同交欢，醉后各分散。

　　As long as I knew , we were boon companions. And then I was drunk, and we lost one another.

　　永结无情游，相期邈云汉。

　　Shall goodwill ever be secure? I watch the long road of the river of stars.

　　3.李白：古朗月行

　　3 Li Bai: ancient people.

　　小时不识月，呼作白玉盘。

　　Hour do not know, call for white plate.

　　又疑瑶台镜，飞在青云端。

　　I doubt Yaotai mirror, fly in the high official position end.

　　仙人垂两足，桂树作团团。

　　Li Bai: 4 night thoughts

　　床前明月光，疑是地上霜。

　　So bright a gleam on the foot of my bed. It seems like frost on the ground.

　　举头望明月，低头思故乡。

　　Raise a head to look at the bright moon, sinking back again, I thought suddenly of home.

　　5.刘方平：月夜

　　5 Liu Fangping: Moonlit night

　　更深月色半人家，北斗阑干南斗斜。

　　今夜偏知春气暖，虫声新透绿窗纱。

　　6 Li Shangyin: goddess in the moon

　　云母屏风烛影深，长河渐落晓星沈。

　　Now that a candle-shadow stands on the screen of carven marble and the river of heaven slants and the morning stars are low,

　　嫦娥应悔偷灵药，碧海青天夜夜心。

　　Are you sorry for having stolen the potion that has set you over purple seas and blue skies, to brood through the long nights.

　　7 Li Shangyin: months

　　池上与桥边，难忘复可怜，

　　Pool with a bridge, unforgettable pitiful,

　　帘开最明夜，簟卷已凉天。

　　Curtain opened the night, when the volume is cool days.

　　流处水花急，吐时云叶鲜。

　　Stream water is urgent, spit when clouds of fresh leaf.

　　嫦娥无粉黛，只是逞婵娟。

　　Chang e not fair, just be a moon.

　　8Li Shangyin: months

　　过水穿楼触处明，藏人带树远含清。
